Couldn't care less if Hedman's hit was dirty or not. Dude needs the pain. Next.

Hedman hit Crosby face first into the glass. Crosby got rid of the puck well before Hedman was there and was facing the boards the whole time. Definitely not a clean hit at all.

Karma? What? Hedman didn't put a dirty hit on Crosby. He played his position. What does karma have to do with that?

I really don't want to start this up again, but I've never thrown this out on here. Its always been of my opinion that while Hedman's hit wasnt dirty at all, he "hopped" and left his feet while Crosby's back was clearly facing him. Mind you, it is absolutely harmless most of the time, but I think its underrated in terms of causing additional damage. He didnt Ovechkin leave his feet, but he hopped into Sid's back, and Sid grimmaced in pain, which I always thought was weird since it was connected to a concussion. But that kind of hit really does look like it could cause a stinger in the neck.

Hedman doesn't leave his feet at all. He comes up generating power through his legs and the back of his skates come up slightly, he doesn't leave his feet at any point.

Okay, A: it still looks to me like he jumped into him, but really not as much as I always thought. Like I said, def not Ovy style, and less than I remember, but watchign that it still looks like it.

B: Why is "Rock N Roll Part II" in the backdrop of video of the highlights that probably cost this team a Cup and might cost Sid his career.

C: Like PS87 said, Crosby passed the puck long before, his back was too him, and Hedman knew who it was and went hard to make the hit in the back. And like Eismann said, dude needs the pain

I was on the way home after having quite a few drinks last night and watched the goal on my phone. Just been watching some highlights again this morning and that goal just gets better and better. just wow!

I've noticed that the goals always look better after I've been drinking.

I was really drunk so my focus wasn't great. Certainly chased my hangover away watching it again this morning :-)
