not at all. it was a head on hit, so the new rules don't apply. letang dipped his head going into the play. there is no way for the dallas player to make a safe hit on the play, and since it's head on, he is not responsible for the safety of the puck carrier

yea it was a HEAD on hit alright, he hit letang in the head with an elbow as you could clearly see on one of the angles. Its not even debatable honestly after seeing that shot of it. Not sure how you can say that was clean, i dont care if letangs head is down or not he was elbowed in the head
ok, in that situation, the rules say that the puck carrier is responsible for his own safety. headshots were not banned... just headshots from blind spots. this was not a blind spot.
i can say it was clean because i understand the rule.
