And Bylsma needs to put guys out there who have that mentality in them. Paul Martin is just never going to have that mentality. He has a lot of strengths, but he will try to get stick on puck, regardless of the situation. That time, the waving and poking failed.

The Pens stopped playing with 0:10 left... the Flyers didn't.

That being said if you after you've calmed down sit there and actually think the refs or the league are against the Pens(or any team for that matter), then I'm sorry.... you are delusional.

Refs miss calls, refs make awful calls, it doesn't just happen when the Pens are playing. It happens every day to every team.

Get used to it.

The missed call that really jumps out on me was late in the third when Cooke chipped the puck in the offensive zone. He cut around Grossman (I think), who just grabbed him and pulled him to the ice. No call, and the Flyers get a scoring chance shortly after.

I doubt it. That's like if someone did something like that to Cooke. Everyone knows Hartnell is a pest. Most of the time they're going to look the other way if someone takes a liberty with him.

It just gets me that it had to be the pest Hartnell for the OT gwg AND the interview with Pierre to show off his ugly mug...!! lol..

The Pens lost it, but you have to be pretty oblivious if you didn't see the refs take a game that was firmly out of control of the Flyers and turn the momentum around for them.

When's the last time you have EVER seen a guy get a penalty for their stick whacking a guy on the bench? It happens every game. I can say that in 20+ years that was a first for me.

And it wasn't malicious. Bs penalty.

This board is sounding more and more like a Flyer's board with the conspiracy stuff. I thought Bettman was the one that ordered Sid and the Pens to win the cup, not the Flyers. Are yuinz saying Bettman gave orders to make sure the Flyers win this year? Bad, dumb or wrong calls does not equal a conspiracy.

Two players jumped out at me today: Staal and Z.

Staal had one of his worst games this season.
Z was horrible on Jagr all day and took a penalty that ultimately changed the outcome of the game at the end of the second.

I still do not understand why the pens defense backs up that much on Jagr.... way too much respect for him, which always ends up witih a scoring chance against.

Crosby and Staal both looked completely gassed from the very start of the game. Crosby has a good reason, but what's Staal's excuse?

And how exactly did Z take a penalty? giroox wasn't paying attention then flopped on his own bench to draw a call.

Yeah, I thought the call on Z was bad. Never seen anything like that called before, at least from what I can remember.

If only Nealkerovsky showed up for games like these. He should take a tape of this game and watch Hartnell and see how passion could help him elevate his game. I see the headline at Yahoo is "All Heart".

I hope you mean if Crosby would have shown up and used some passion. Way to miss an open net Sid. Seriously the guy is said to be, "Adam Oates on steroids" but he's barely a Cliff Ronning. He needs to watch some game film of Mike Richards and get his head on straight.

This team is on an unbelievable roll. They'be been money for like 25 games. They let one get away against a tough team at the end of a tough roadtrip. They still got one point today. 23 out of the last 24. 5 of 6 from the three other top teams in the division.

Do I hate to lose to the Flyers? Yes. But I'll do what the Pens will most likely do. Move on to the next one.

Not blaming the refs but the flyers never get back in this game if not for that michalek penalty (not a bad call) then that weak weak call on 71 which led to a g after the pp.

Refs always ref the score when a team goes up 2. It drives me nuts. It was more the non calls that were egregious in the 3rd IMO

Looked like g slashed him and michalek retaliated. Opened the door for the flyers who weren't doing **** 5 on 5

Also give Neal these passes from Sid and were in business. TK has his limitations
