I think Park could potentially bring more value in the playoffs than Asham. More speed, decent wrister, and an extra body for the PK unit.

Also, I don't know if he's healthy or what, but I'd like to see Dustin Jeffrey get a few games in down the stretch. I think when healthy he's a better all around player than Joe Victory.

i was wrong. My bad. Asham had 4 goals and 3 assists in 23 games the year the Flyers made the finals. He had 3 goals and 1 assists in 7 games last year which i think is decent but i thought he did a lot more for Philly the year they went to the finals.

I loved all the talk in some threads saying "Geno needs another one of those 5 point nights to pull away" real nonchalant like those are so easy racking up. Then you realize for him, it really is that easy. Not many players you can say that they need "another 5 point night"

Sloppy game, but all in all being the 1st home game after a trip I guess it was to be expected.

The Jets bring out the best and the worst in the Pens. Nice to see TK bury a few. If he can heat up that makes three lines extremely dangerous with the way Cooke and Dupuis have also been playing. Funny thing is though, I think some folks would rather he fail.

Jame Neal can score after the All-Star break. Crosby and Malkin are just sick.

Here comes Radulov and an angry Preds team.

Wow what a game last night.. Awesome Geno's,Sid's(I really wanted him to score,to gets out of slump) and Neal's game,even TK scored 2 on two great Sid's assists.. Too bad for Thiessen,he had some great saves,but still got 4 pucks behind him. Tangradi looked good again,played physical-knocked Buff down also,good along the boards.. The only thing that concerns me is our D play - not good,especially on line changes,not careful enough. But wow,we are fantastic team going into playoffs healthy finally - I hope we stay healthy to the end as well.

Re: Theissen, I was extremely impressed with the way he kept his composure last night. It would have been real easy for him to have a total mental breakdown after the 3rd or 4th goal (most of which were not his fault in the slightest), but he held it together. That's a good sign.

I really like Asham's game. He would be a third liner for a weaker team, and is the perfect 4th liner for any team. My only issue with him is the fact that he is always injured.

As for Park, he should get the nod over Tangradi, especially in a game like last night. He can play center and wing, and score the occasional goal. He can play the PK and also the PP. He can move up to the top lines and give guys a rest if needed. He can win a ton of faceoffs. Tangradi does none of those things.

I agree with this. Last night he let in one bad goal, which is expected when the guy plays once every two weeks. But the encouraging thing was the fact that he was able to make a few big saves when the score was 6-4 and still within reach. If that goes to 6-5, there could have been a momentum shift and most likely the Pens would have still won, but they would have had to work a lot harder.

I like what the Preds are doing. They'll be a tough out and I think they know that they'll lose some key components in the off season (money) so this is their shot. I hope they and the Redwings finish 4 and 5 as that will be a great, hard-fought series.

Yeah, it seems Geno is finally willing to shine on, even with Sid in the lineup. Of course, Bylsma putting Sid on the 3rd line and not messing up Geno's line may have something to do with this as well.
