Typical Gonchar defensive lapse....nothing tough about that play...that's just SLOW thinking and lack of hustle to keep up with him...lazy lazy...

and a stupid pass by Recchi that started it all!!

Huh? Gonchar didn't do too badly there... if you want to ***** at someone on that it's gotta be Recchi for turning it over.

what are you talking about? I JUST said that REcchi's bad pass started it all

but Gonchar should have been ready to turn and go with that guy..he was 2 seconds too late...that wasn't a hard play to read...but Gonchar finds a way to make it hard...there's no WAY that guy should have got around Gonchar..they had good spacing, but Gonchar is too slow to turn with him.

I guess I'm just tired of everything 55 does being picked apart and complained about.

BJL, even the Caps announcers were hacking Gonchar for letting that guy get by, he just pivoted too late.

They were commenting on how they've never seen Gonchar get burned as much as he has this year...so obviously he's not even close to playing to his potential defensively...they would know, they watched him for years.

Caps announcers said Ovechkin stated, before the game, that he was going to fight Whitney tonight.

I'd like to see that! Although Whitney doesnt seem to have any sort of spunk or excitement in him. He just sorta plays and doesn't have a mean streak...Ovechkin would be pumped and probably pummel him.

When the starter of the game thread suggests everyone move to the other thread, everyone should heed his request. Bad mojo not to...
