I keep sending Crosby out for his regular shifts, but cut back the special teams time a little. I don't think the Caps will be looking to cheapshot #87 as that would put a target on Ovechkin's back.

As far as Gonchar goes, I have always maintained that his O-zone play has been good all season. He isnt going to hurt the team in the Ozone at all.

And Boguniecki gets into the act, after Sid draws another penalty. Sid had a 1-on-3 move that honestly reminded me of Jagr, in his ability to do it all on his own. I try to avoid hyperbole and comparing young players to elite players after one play, but it was the first thing I thought of.

And as I'm typing this, Ovechkin scores one. Crap.

That's okay, that SHG is good for my fantasy team. Shouldn't have counted though as Whitney got clipped in the face...

How about AO takes a look at the scoreboard the next time he wants to celebrate a meaningless goal.

I wanna say we do have a hattrick. I remember something about it being the first since Kovalev in 2003 or something. But maybe that was something else. :?:

If Whit would have checked on the INSIDE-effectively moving the play up the boards and not to the front of the net-like your suppose too that play never happens and he probably doesnt get high sticked either!

I THINK we had a hat trick in the last game against the Caps (8-1 win). I could be wrong. I was at the game and I remember hats coming down a couple of times, but the goals that were scored may have been changed after the fact.

They took a goal away from Recchi and gave it to LeClair (correctly). So officially no HT.......YET.
