It seems as if Gonchar has made a compromise with regard to his shooting. I remember him rifiling shots past goaltender's ears like it was the most natural thing in the world. Now he has settled on simply putting the puck on net (which certainly isn't a bad thing). And, as you said, his puck moving skills are average at best. The skill set Gonchar possesses really isn't elite.
