I'm watching the Preds/Wings game, at least if the Preds can hold a 3-1 lead it might take some of the sting away from this loss.

And I'm sorry - I put it on the coach that your 4th line turns the puck over up 3-0 in the neutral zone when they had the red line. That's a team mentality - and it's a mistake that should have been corrected during the season, and certainly reinforced at the end of the first period.

Series isn't over, but this is a very bad sign. It's not so much that they lost. I've been saying for a while, it's not about the wins and losses, it's about how they played. The loss exposed the weaknesses of this team that have been a concern for a while, especially against the Flyers. The fact that they've carried into the playoffs is very concerning. Can this be a wake-up call? Sure, but this team hasn't shown much capability for adjustments and learning from mistakes. They should have had this crap out of their system weeks ago.

I've seen it plenty of times. In fact, two of the last three vs these chumps.

Nah. Guys were flailing at pucks just to get it out of the zone even when they had plenty of time. No one wanted the puck on their stick. No one had any confidence. It was gutless. And I don't use these words often.

The same lazy play from the same lazy half dozen guys ended the game for us tonight.
Time to regroup, recommit to their game and let this one go.

The Pens D is the weak spot on this team. They never went out and got a Defenseman at the trade deadline when they probably should have. Philly picked up two. The difference in this game and this year is that Philly's D is better. Everything is pretty even between the teams, offense and goalie wise.

I don't get how this team that has won the cup before does not have the killer instinct...

This is the Flyers! you have them down 3-0...you continue to go for the kill....you don't let up and get lax...

When the Pens start to regress like this, I feel they really need a good tongue lashing by their coach. But that doesn't happen. Yet, this team should have enough leadership to not need the coach to rip them like that....let's go!

The Flyers actually outplayed the Pens in the back half of the first period as well. We got a good bounce to make it 3-0.

Letang and Martin had absolutely horrid games. They were just putrid in their own zone. But where did the offense and hitting go? We looked exhausted in the second period, and the Flyers just kept coming. You don't win in the playoffs standing around watching the puck, and getting outhustled as badly as we just did. This was one of the worst efforts I've seen the Penguins have in the playoffs in a long time.

When you lose every meaningful game you play against a team for the same reasons every time, including game 1 of your playoff series, it doesn't bode well for the series. It's not over, but the fat lady has been told to be on call.

It's a 4-5 matchup, and it could be a 2-3 matchup. Anyone who thought the Pens would take this in 4 or 5 games is delusional. Our guys get paid to play too, and can bounce back. Still, this sucks.

Mine is too on DirecTV. But, there is a NBCSN Alternate channel that isn't. Who knows...
