I want to see the balls Bylsma in the Cup run. I love his attitude and I love his game plans, but the guy has some serious (over)trust issues with his back line players. Give the game to Crosby and Malkin, over and over, until you either lose or move on. That is what Philly is going to do with the Giroux and Briere lines. Matchups have gone to Bylsma's head and this was proof of it.

It ain't Oprah til it's Oprah.

Last I checked, it still takes 4 wins to take a series.

Well before that my friend. DB holds on to timeouts like he is cashing them in at the end of the night.

They roll over, like cell phone minutes. Right?

Well, that was pretty much the worst case scenario. After the 1st period, the Pens looked like the lackadaisical team that got smoked by Ottawa and the Islanders. This team reminds me a lot of the 2010 team. They just aren't committed enough to team defense to go far in the playoffs. They might still get past the Flyers, but I don't see much reason to think they are a realistic threat to win the Cup.

The difference in this game and this year is that Philly's D is better. Everything is pretty even between the teams, offense and goalie wise.

Our D hasn't been great but defense is about all 5 guys on the ice. You can't expect any defense in the league to look good when clearing attempt after clearing attempt flyer's are winning the battle along the board and keeping the puck in for the entire shift. Outside of the first period, the Pens only offensive chances were on rushes, not on sustained cycling like they were able to do during the HCMT years (and of course the cup year one year later).

Never seen a team turn it off like the pens, its mind blowing at times. Never make it easy on themselves, 7 game series yens, but this was an unacceptable loss.

I've always thought that this Flyers series would be the hardest of the playoffs. Flyers are really good. All of these games will be close. It'll likely come down to special teams and tonight, the Flyers won that battle.

It's gonna be fine guys. Chill the *pizza* out. This team is better than they showed tonight. They need to win game 2 and then win one in Philly and this game never happened. It will be tough to bounce back from, but it's far from impossible. Thankfully it's the first game.

i dont think it was so much the pens stopped playing after the first, but the flyers started playing after the first. they are a good team. we need to play better, and answer back when they come at us. no lead is safe

I have no problem with taking the foot off the gas offensively being up 3-0 at home. If you do that, you still have to work your butt off in the d and neutral zones. The Pens did neither. They literally gave up trying after the first period. Very disappointing.

Calm down everyone. Series isn't over. We will find out everything we need to know about this team on Friday.

This is the Flyers! you have them down 3-0...you continue to go for the kill....you don't let up and get lax...

When the Pens start to regress like this, I feel they really need a good tongue lashing by their coach. But that doesn't happen. Yet, this team should have enough leadership to not need the coach to rip them like that....let's go!

This is the playoffs! this isn't November here...

a good tongue lashing from their coach???? their coach is the one that ordered a forward to stay back!!!!

my god i just cannot handle the ignorance i encounter on here
