After the 6th goal in the Washington game, I heard Mike Lange say "time to buy new shoes" after the goal. I'd never heard that one before. Is that new?

No, I think he's used it before. It's just not one of the more well known ones.

It's close to... "He's all over [player] like a new pair of shoes." just mixing up his sayings I think.

That is relitively new. There was a contest a few years ago on DVE wear you could create the next Langism. I think the "new shoes" one was inspired by Jim Krenn. I think he wore the same shoes for like 4 years or something.
