You can't push the puck and goalie into the net? That's what Hartnell did, not that it matters.

I still think Staal hitting the post in game one changed the series. That doesn't mean we wouldn't have lost a long series, but their young guys wouldn't have developed as much confidence as quickly. However, Philly hit two posts early in game 5, or we could already be gofling.

That was so persuasive how Giroux talked the refs out of that goal. He's so persuasive. The league's best debater.

I am impressed with Giroux and his intensity. He's the MVP of this series. The Pens used to have players with that intensity.

Is this the passing of a torch regarding the best player in the game?

Depends...

Is Crosby going to play more than 13 games next year? The following year? Ever???

Will Malkin be able to stay healthy?? Will he become a Russian headcase???

Where in the HELL did this Giroux guy come from...drafted in 2006, when the Pens (ALREADY stacked at center and deficient on the wing) drafted 2nd overall? Whom did they select with that #2 pick...then relegate to the 3rd line???

Do Caps fans do the same lamenting over picking AO instead of Malkin now? Almost serious question right now...

Possibly...however, AO may have a chance to redeem as HIS team may move on.

I shake my head EVERY day trying to understand the sense in spending $4 Million on a 3rd-line center.

Wasting money in a cap-era is nonsensical. He either makes the top-6 or needs TRADED...

However, if neither of those teams makes it through the 1st round (at least we aren't the 1st seed on the verge of losing to Ottawa ?!), I have a feeling the Flyers are going to the Cup finals. It will be up to Nashville or St. Louis to stop them there.

Sadly i agree

It's only whining when Crosby does it.

Say what you will about Malkin in this series, the dude came to play today. One of the few Pens that did. He tried everything he could today.

You can't beat us still applies?

We beat you twice and you still don't have a cup since 1975.

Is anyone smiling a bit that the flyers score at will, but we are having success stopping them with the net empty?
