8 goals, 8 assists in 11 games. 4 GWG.

1st series against the caps...one of the best Jagr's goals; short side over Kolzig's shoulder in OT.
Against the flyboys not so much.

I don't see that as sweet talk at all. It's sounds more like bragging and rubbing it in to me. And anyone that would compare Giroux to Mario doesn't ever need to even think about coming back to Pittsburgh or having his sweater hang in the rafters. As another Pittsburgher, Dennis Miller, might put it "he might as well rent a dinghy and go fishing with Fredo - he's dead to me."

Perhaps you mean 2001? Wasn't he injured for part of that run to the ECF?

Yes, I mean 2001. I think he had his nagging groin issues, but I think a lot of his lackluster performances had to do with dying alive & so forth.

“This was the most enjoyable year I’ve ever had,” Jagr said. “It’s a sad day for me. I want to cry right now.”

Me too. I loved when that was the Super Gelatinous' settiment last summer. Said he should be dead to the Penguins and dead to Mario and dead to us fans. Then the second Jagr stepped foot in Pittsburgh on 12/29 Madden couldn't kiss his ass long or hard enough.

I remember Jagr almost single-handedly bringing them back trailing in the 3rd to send Game 3 to overtime though. Then their 12-year-old defenseman, whatever his name was, scored.
Game 6 vs. Jersey was a religious experience for me.
