Prust would fit in well on the 4th line for us.

add prust as well as kenopka

would get a whole lot tougher to play against, win faceoffs, toughens up the bottom 6, PK options...and wouldnt cost a ton

then add parise :)

That's going to leave them pretty weak on defense.

Hmmm.... I didn't even see him on the potential radar...
He's the type of guy that you hate to play against... I could see him being a fit too

Kuba had an ok season next to Karlsson, but he might be the weakest player on his skates in the NHL.

I'd jump all over Mike Knuble.

Yeah, this would be a great 3rd line addition.

I think he's probably about at that point where he's out of the league. He can't hang anymore...he might not want to retire, but not getting any phone calls in the month of July might force him to...

Not sure if he would leave but Doan would be great.

Suter is my #1 preference though.

Parise would be awesome too...That would make Crosby happy too I'm sure...

Gotta move Martin...

Montreal trying hard to re-sign him, believe they will. But would be a very good addition: Cooke-Sutter-Moen is rough enough sandpaper to scratch the shine off of a diamond...

Shane Doan would be fantastic, but sounds like he's entrenched in the Phoenix community, with the wife and kids and all that ....

I think the only way Doan goes elsewhere is if the Coyotes move. The probability of that right now is extremely low.

I wouldn't be against it. If the Pens sign 2 forwards it would finally allow them to move Dupuis to the 3rd line.

1. Pens trade Martin and Kennedy to whoever, freeing up $7mill in cap space (that's crazy it's that much)...

2. Sign Parise 8 year deal $7.5mill cap hit

3. Sign Suter 7 years $7mill cap hit

4. Sign Smyth 1 year $2mill

5. Sign Prust 2 years $1.5Mill cap hit

Crosby/Parise/Smyth
Malkin/Neal/Kunitz
Sutter/Cooke/Dupuis
Vitale/Tangradi/Prust

Letang/Suter
Orpik/Niskanen
Engelland/Despres

MAF
Vokun

Some lineup...

what does dupuis have to do to finally have us penguin fans agree that he can play on one of the top 2 lines. The guy is not only productive on the score sheet, but he is also a beast on the puck.

Let us not also forget he is carrying a scoring streak into the new season.

Smyth maybe 5+ years ago. He hasn't left the West Coast in a long time, if ever.
