I don't know if its been mentioned or not, but Latendresse is represented by an agent named Pat Brisson. I believe he might represent one of the Penguins.

Fehr will be looking for a European vacation this fall/winter. Not a good sign for your NHL career when the Jets pass on you.

Jets didn't really pass, he was an expensive qualifying offer and suffered a horrific shoulder injury that shows a history of taking 12-18 months to really recover from. Had a bad year, couldn't get into a rythym in Winnipeg...they may yet bring him back, I believe he's from there...either way, he should be in the NHL this year...

Brandon Prust and Ryan Smyth? This thread is awful.

Brandon Prust would be a good add to our fourth line if he doesn't think $2 million is a reasonable figure for him.

Prust is a piece of filth. And not in a "Love him if he's on your team" kind of way.

I'll probably root for a preseason knee injury if he finds his way onto this roster.

Everyone dives. But what Prust does is unique to him.

And I hate his face. That's probably the biggest issue here.

Ok...he's a good penalty killer and plays an ES defensive role better than our current 4th liners. But again...his face.

Peter Mueller will be a free agent. Sounds like a possible Shero pick-up if he can't get Parise.

Alex Semin if Parise doesn't work out. Washington doesn't have a team-first system and he didn't fit. Sutter takes Staal's PK time, Semin takes PP time on the #1 unit and Geno's line (russian connection) with Neal. I like it.

Malkin with Neal and Semin and Crosby with Kunitz and Dupuis. Hurry up and tell Sid so he can sign his lifetime extension with the provision that he will never have wingers as good as the ones that Malkin gets, I'm sure he'll love that.

I want no parts of Semin. Never seen a guy that skilled that actually makes his team worse. Besides, Sid would probably push him down a flight of stairs and the guy would be on LTIR.

No thanks on Semin, no thanks on Tootoo.

I'd like to see Latendresse get a look with a short, cheap limited risk contract for the Pens..

Is Semin REALLY that apathetic in the heart/defensive responsibilities category? I feel like its a misnomer that stuck with him because he's a very reserved person. Didn't he play the bongos with some dudes head anyway? He has more offensive talent than Parise and would be more 'dangerous' with Sid most likely. I know he's not looked upon highly but it seems like he's flying under the radar here. With Ray I'd say there's no chance though.

Yeah I wouldn't have a problem with him here. Not every player has to play shutdown 2-way game. If all he did was skate on Sid's wing and hammer home passes I'd be happy.

He's not physical. But he's certainly serviceable defensively WHEN he cares and isn't in cosmonaut mode. No denying his skill though.

Semin's wrist shot is a thing of beauty. Best in the league.

The thought of him and Neal firing lasers makes me giddy.

I seen too much of Semin when he played with the Caps, I want no part of him. He has no heart and soul when he plays. He is one of the main reasons the caps never won a cup, he refused to change his game and play playoff hockey when he needed to. We don't need any floater on our team playing the perimeter and looking for the pretty pass from Sid or Malkin. besides Semin has absolutely NO hockey sense whatsoever, remember he can't even see what is so special about Sid.
