After the Wild buy him and Suter out.

Parise - Crosby - Dupuis
Neal - Malkin- Kunitz
Kennedy - Sutter - Cooke
Rupp - Adams - Godard

Suter - Orpik
Letang - Martin
Who Cares - Who Cares

Fleury
Vokoun

Suter and Parise take hometown discounts.

FWIT, these 2 articles seem to paint the picture that the change in the pension issue came from the owners, not Fehr and the PA:

You mean these 2 blog entries?

I don't understand if the original agreement was it being all player funded, how any change would be bad for the players. Eh whatever. They're both wrong. We shall see what happens when it all shakes out.

The seemingly close end to this lockout brings to the forefront the fact that the pens lineup is still shady in some areas.

Kunitz | Malkin | Neal (YES!)
Tangradi?/Bennett?/Col. Mustard? | Crosby | Dupuis (Can ET keep up?)
Cooke | Sutter | Kennedy (I like Sutter, but he's no Jordan Staal)
Glass | Vitale | Jeffrey/Adams/Ferriero/the other Dupuis/Smith (no shortage here)

Orpik | Letang (YES!)
Martin | Niskanen (crickets)
Despres | Strait/Engellend/Dumoulin/Bortuzzo/Lovejoy (Something will workout here)

Fleury & Vokoun (no worries)

Apart from that hole on the top-6 wing and a questionable top-4 plate of defenders...I guess we're ready.

Not to be a jerk (yeah, right...), but maybe we should keep extensive lineup discussions out of this thread? It's a topic that probably deserves its own thread anyway.

But yeah, another Top 6 forward and a Top 4 dman would sure be nice.

Who's Col. Mustard?

Eh...I agree...but I figured I'd be more foe'd if I created a whole new thread just to bring up this talking point. I don't want to put the cart before the horse, but seeing this lockout begin to resolve makes me want to ponder the work ahead of Mr. Shero...because there is some work to be done.

Oh, and this is Col. Mustard...

To me, I don't care anymore who to "blame" for this. I think it falls on both sides.

Just get a deal done.

Don't you all get the feeling this is going to go down to the wire and then Fehr or Bettman will change one little thing and send both sides into a frenzy.

They will use all the time available, for sure. If Jan 11 is the day, we should expect some mood swings in the meantime.

Another detail emerging: NHL has upped its compliance buyout offer to 2 per team, up from 1 prior to 2013-14 season.
