I'm guessing sometime in November. I still can't believe it has come to this.

I hope so. What is the drop dead date to begin camp to get the season off as scheduled? Should be soon.

I voted no hockey this season. Honestly, it's not even on my radar at this point. Apathy like this is the league's real fan enemy.

It might go longer than a year. Fehr is really hard headed and make no bones about it, he has full control over these negotiations. He doesn't care if the players sit, he just cares about winning the negotiations in a egotistical kind of way.
Where is Roenick when you need him, he rallied the players that one year to give and get back on the ice.

I am locked in to football season right now, so I'm also completely over it right now. However, I guarantee that as soon as late January hits, I am going to be really bummed that I don't have hockey to tide me over until May.

He definitely cares about the best interests of the players. I'm not sure where you're getting that its about his ego.

Looks like three voters are officially Losers.

Also looks like it won't be long before a lot more voters are also losers. And of course, all us fans are losers also.
"The National Hockey League announced today the cancellation of the 2012-13 regular-season schedule through October 24. A total of 82 regular-season games were scheduled for Oct. 11 through Oct. 24."

Games cancelled through October. Five more voters eliminated. I picked November which isn't looking great right now either.

I'm part of the 30% that is looking more and more like the "winners" of this poll as time goes on.

Just saw this poll. I'm guessing late December/early January.

There should be another option. No hockey ever again.

I wonder what is the least ammount of games the owers/players would agree is enough games to concider a regualr season. The one year it was a 48 game season. i wonder if they would play a 30 game season if it came down to it.

Unless the owners are willing to give something up I don't see when it's going to end.
The players are willing to give up money, but the owners want them to give up more.

Its not that simple; players are not willing to 'give up money', they are willing to entertain an even split if owners can agree to what revenue is included in the split. Fehr is being equally tactical in his approach, with good reason, but its not helping advance negotiations.
Bottom line... we're not the only ones losing. Players are losing money, mostly because owners have an economic agenda, but also because I suspect the Fehr's promised them 50/50.

According to "The Fan", games cancelled through November. That will make me a loser (again) as I picked November for hockey. No hockey was originally in the teens but is up to 39%. Looks like that is where the smart money is going. Still can't wrap my arms around this happening (again).
