Crosby on faceoffs

I've noticed the past few games that Sid is really turning into a solid faceoff guy. Last night vs Washington he was 68%.

Friday vs Caralina he was only 48% but won several key draws at the end of the game vs Brindamour to help preserve the win. In the defensive zone he was 75%.

Players of Crosby's talent really can't be stopped. Its very similar to Jagr when he came into the league, his shots from range were aweful. All he really had was deke's around the net, most notably to his backhand. With hard work and instruction from Kehoe, he now has every shot in the book, and excellent ones at that.

Crosby is a student of the game, he'll be rock solid or dominant at every situation by his early to mid 20's.

Yes its still really early in Sid's career to determine how everything will play out. He is going to get better at everything.

I just keep thinking that Lemieux scored 100 points his rookie season, and sid will just about match that. And that was when things were alot different in the league.

Crosby's faceoff performance against Brind'amour was massively impressive. It not only showed his improvement at the faceoff dot, but it also showed that he is a clutch player.

Just remember how absolutely brutal he was on faceoffs earlier in the season. If he can apply that sort of improvement to his shot and defesive coverage, well, it's a scary thought.
