In the InDemand link I attached, 1/19-1/31 will be a free sneak.

EDIT: Just spoke to the Comcast rep. The billing code for this deal isn't in their system yet. She told me the free preview has been scheduled, and to call back during the preview to order. She said the $49.99 price will be the price during the sneak, but she can't guarantee that price will remain the same after the sneak is over.

It should be 49.99 until the sneak ends. To do it just one day is BS. They also should give a code so you can get 1/2 a purchase on nhl.com.
Heck, the owners should be paying InDemand our share to make it cheaper.

InDemand is live games. It's the name of the company that manages the ppv sports packages. You are thinking of OnDemand.

Just finished talking to someone at BellAliant (Canada) and Centre Ice will be $50 for the season with them. I assume the price will be the same for their FibreOp TV and for Bell's services (ExpressVu and Bell TV).

Our BS provider has a price now and then a lower price starting 2/1...with the free preview running through 1/31. I hope they have people dumb enough to pay for it now.

Ha ha, I was just thinking about him and his special satellite service bootlegged from Canada.

He always had some unique insights, and it looks like he was right about Ovechkin - he was like a supernova, burning brighter than Malkin and Crosby at first, but then burning out and fading (a bit). Shame Drafty was run off by the younglings.

GameCenter is a good deal at $50 this season, but as I don't have cable/satellite the national and local games (NHLN, NBCSN, local Canes broadcasts) are blacked out...so I would get to watch about 10 Pens games or so.

Is it worth getting Center Ice or Gamecenter? Is there really any difference? Which is better?

In my experience, the quality is better with Center Ice simply because it's a TV service. Gamecenter Live is pretty good quality but it depends heavily on how good your internet connection is.

I've opted to go with Center Ice for $50 instead of Gamecenter Live even though I have the GCL app on both my PS3 (living room) and Roku (bedroom).

I have rokus and Apple TV along with game systems and iPads in my house. Gamecenter is a no brainier. But the 30 second to 2 minute delay is murder.

Keep in mind, 29 games are national and will be blacked out plus your local team and any games they want to make national on NHL network at any time. 60% of the games will be available to see even if you aren't in Pittsburgh as long as you have NHL net and NBCSN

I saw there were 29 games that would be nationally televised for the Pens this year. Does this include the games that aren't nationally televised (for Philly area fans)?

Either way, there's absolutely no way I am paying for Center Ice this year, I don't think. My proximity to Philly does come in handy in times like these.
