In watching Pens prospect Josh Archibald on TV I noticed Ryan Walters (a junior) who is a linemate of Josh. He is currently leading the WCHA in scoring, and seemingly was never drafted. Have you watched him at all? He seems like a guy with decent speed, size, and skill. Is he somebody that Shero might go after this season as a free agent?

Not Jesse, nor am I Ray Shero...I've seen a little bit of him, not overly impressed really. I think Megna is a better pro prospect. I just wonder about his upside and his overall hockey IQ a little bit...I'm not sure he has much of either...he'll get a look from some teams, sure, but I'm not dying to have him on the team personally. Maybe Jesse or our scouts have seen something else...I have limited exposure to him, but there was no doubt (when I saw) that Archibald was the engine that made that line go and Walters was secondary...Brayden Schenn to Scott Glennie, Taylor Hall to Greg Nemisz, Alexander Radulov to Angelo Esposito type of deal...

I don't know anything about that kid, but whenever UNO comes up, I am compelled to mention Andrej Sustr and how much I would like the Pens to add him to their defense pool. We're short a D prospect since Strait got claimed anyhow.

I'm with Mikey, I don't really know a ton about him and I mostly saw Archibald as the guy who made that line work.

Jesse - If I open up a random roster from a random team in a random somewhat respectable hockey league...you will know at least something about that guy...wont you?

I have to say that as far as wants, I agree that Sustr is a guy that the Pens would like. Guy has a high ceiling.
Quite a relationship the Pens seem to be building with Dean Blais and the UNO brass.

Jesse-Ryan is an interesting first name. Not as cool as Steve-Dave.

The drafting of Archibald and Megna signing is just a ploy to get Sustr to sign with us.

Haven't caught any games this year, but UNO has seemed to play the north-south "Penguins hockey" in recent years.
