Armstong Cable and Center Ice- no plans

For those of you with Armstrong Cable, I stopped in and asked them today. The lady I spoke to told me there currently were no plans to add it. I did ask if she could pass it on up that I asked. She said she would, but based on the way she said it, I am not holding my breath

It's been that way for 3 or 4 years now. They had it when they 1st got the NHL network butwhen I called they said it had something to do with the pay structure & regulations that the NHL wanted them to follow & Armstrong said it wasn't worth it for what they would have had to charge everyone for it.

Armstrong cable sucks, plain and simple, they were slow to get Thursday night football games when they first came out and would black out the live programming on the NFL Network so this doesn't surprise me. I've moved to Direct TV since then,

Armstrong is only in business due to franchise agreements with their local municipalities. Write your councilman and tell them to change, or get DirecTV; It'll still be cheaper even when the rates go up.

Happy to say that I think Armstrong is a great cable company, and the best TV provider I have ever used. Been with them in 2 homes for a total of 7 years.

There are pros and cons with every carrier. I get NFL Redzone on Armstrong for something like $4 extra a month. Those with DirecTV have to buy the entire Sunday Ticket to get it.

Yeah, I have been happy with them as well. As long as I get to see all the Pens games, I can live.

How much do you guys pay for HD w/ sports package and 2 boxes w/o DVR? With internet it was something like $200 for me. I get directv for $80, and armstrong internet for $40.

I get everything except the premium movie channels. All regular channels and all HD's including the extra sports ones.

Total payment is $155. Includes Internet and 3 HD boxes (2 with DVR). I think the content and number of channels is fantastic and they have the best customer service of almost any company I deal with.
