True - does it matter? He's the best player on the ice right now. Our first PP looks downright awful and I was actually happy to see TK out there because I knew pucks would at least get to the net.

Bylsma needs to take a page out of Hynnes playbook in WBS and bench his first PP unit if they're going to play like idiots.

So the rest of the team competes for best player when they shoot from long range hitting the goalie in the chest or missing the net sending the opponent flying the other way?

At that point in the game he was the best player on the ice to start the game. He was buzzing around, creating chances. Everyone else was asleep.

I love the announcers heaping all the praise on Tangradi for Neal's goal. He's getting the soccer mom treatment these days.

seriously? Seriously?

The guy hit him/shoved him. Are you honestly crying about that? Wow.

To be fair it looked like he gave him a bear hug and tackled him...hence his post.

Hard to tell from the replay but when Geno was about halfway down you could see both of the defender's arms. I think it was a good no-call.

Yeah you may be right.

Notice how no Sen went with him to the goal? He was there alone when Neal shot.

I think it says a lot that malkin didn't want to pass to an open tangradi in front of the net.

smart choice, though.

Grabbed his arm an pulled him down. Should have been a penalty

Yea sure looked like the guy just dove right into him and tackled him sorry for making a comment on it geez lighten up

Wait you're telling him to lighten up? Did you not read your original reply? You basically were screaming at him in it.

So maybe you should lighten up?

did you not even read what I said? Man getting really annoying that I get blasted because people assume or dont read. All i said was looked like he got tackled and he replied freaking out on me so im confused how i was screaming so obviously you didnt read.

You say that like it's a bad thing. No defenseman going to the net with Tangradi means he was a distraction for Anderson because he was uncovered. It doesn't matter that he didn't do anything, just being there provided the slightest of distractions and sometimes that's all it takes.

But the mere fact he went to the net is the reason the goal was scored. Just ask the announcers.

Don't get me wrong, it's good that he went to the net to jump on the rebound if there was one, but the credit for the goal should go to Neal for a nasty shot. But Neal got this treatment when he couldn't score at all at the start of his Pens career, so he should understand.
