I don't like Rossi's fluff because he writes too much fiction into his stories. He's an awesome beat reporter, but he lacks the composure of a real sports writer like Dave Molinari. He fits better with the Steve Simmons make-it-up-as-you-go crowd that is beginning to border on unofficial blogging rather than reporting.
with print journalism now being tweeted/FB; what is the news and what is filler/fluff? Journalists never thought they would have to compete with regulars and blog... while meeting print deadlines. They have to change with what gets their newspapers money and to stay current. Since I get the print edition, I read it all- except for the stripper advertisements.
