Don't forget Strait. Lovejoy should be either in WBS or NY.

Everything clicked. Only thing he needs to tweak is the PP (call me DB :D ).

He kind of did with that last PP personal, haha.

I seriously can't believe this team has turned it around like it has after the Jets, Toronto and especially the Islanders game. There was so much wrong with this team from just a purely systematic standpoint that i never envisioned this team fixing it in the time frame they have.

That being said, if they go back to that awful form of "hockey", i might stick a fork in my eye.

Getting completely dominated in every aspect of that Islanders game seems to have woke the team up. It was a tough loss to swallow, but may be a great one in the long run.

Perhaps because he has speed, can join the rush and has played some good NHL hockey, that maybe they shouldn't just bail on the guy. Everyone of our superstars have had playoff bloopers. Its the reality of sport.

I really think it was because Lovejoy had established himself. Bortuzzo and Despres had to play their way onto the roster. I have no arguments with that. They've shown they should stay.

It has nothing to do with Boychuck. Both he and Jeffrey should have played this game.

Who would Jeffrey replace?

Boychuck fit in well today. He just needs to keep up, make smart plays, and not drag the line down. We don't need three 30+ goal scorers on that line. Just don't drag it down like ET does.

We will grab a winger via trade though, and when we do that new guy could be for Sid and could move Kunitz to line 2. Then where does Boychuck go? Line 3? Waivers? Press box?

Jeffrey in, Kunitz out.
Kunitz in, Jeffrey out.

Either would have been reasonable today, but I guess Kunitz was the right call.

If they did bring someone in for Sid sooner than later, I would want boychuk to get a shot with that pair and let dupuis cause nightmares for other team's top lines with cooke and sutter on the line 3.

I would never bench Kunitz in favor of Jeffrey. Kunitz in a wheelchair is better.

Why can't it move Dupuis to line 3?

I'm surprised I was that close. Classy move giving Bort the star for his 1st goal

When Niskanen returns, I expect to see Lovejoy waived.

Not a single player under 11 minutes of ice time today and Martin led the way with 24:50. Great jobs by HCDB at rolling 4 lines and keeping guys fresh for tomorrow en route to the win.

Probably wasn't Blysma. I saw him talking to the lady behind the bench most of the game.

Tangradi is the future bartender at a strip club somewhere in the ghetto of Philadelphia. We should definitely waive him before someone like Lovejoy who will be snapped up instantly on the wire. Defensemen are a lot harder to find than 4th line forwards, even if we have a lot of them. We should be traiding htem not waiving them.

Ironic part of that is Flyers would probably claim him right now(and not for the reason of sticking it to the Pens).

Props to Despres for playing physical this week. That was my only question mark about him.

In the past week we added two 6'4 220 lbs defensemen to our blue line, and both can play. Good sign. Size and physical play from d were missing last year.

Fact of the matter is, the Penguins have no depth at forward. They can't afford to risk Tangradi or Jeffrey on waivers. Meanwhile, they've got Reese, Morrow, Dumoulin, and Eaton playing in WBS as well as Harrington, Maatta, and Pouliot currently playing junior. The impact of possible losing Lovejoy on waivers is virtually non-existent.

Not a chance. Only value he has is to a team that actually wants him right now but thinks he won't clear waivers.

Lovejoy and Jeffrey definitely won't clear. Tangradi might actually do it though.

That is actually kind of low for martin. DB has more confidence with the third pairing now it seems.
