Wow, the officials really want to make themselves noticeable in tonights game.

I get hit harder then that in Adult League hockey, but I don't fling my body down as if I have the balance of a newborn.

I think the idea is to settle it down now before it
becomes the Rumble in the Isle 2.

Agree, Pens need to play smart. We're ahead and the refs are going to call anything close.

After what has been inconsistently called, as a player, I'd bet they're confused as to how to play aggressively or should they tap dance and not finish checks because these officials will cherry pick their calls to benefit one team or another?

I agree with the call on Neal. It's a dangerous play. And the refs are seeing more and more scrums and testy stuff, that's a "keep it control" penalty there...deflate the tires a little if they can. It's the right call.

There was a fight and a lot of chippy play. You knew the refs were looking for something to call and Neal gave them something. Not smart by him.

As long as it's called both ways, which we know it won't be, so it is a crap call until they demonstrate othrwise. The onus is on the refs.

Cooke wasn't on a breakaway. And missing/making one call doesn't have anything to do with Neal being an idiot. You can't just go around shoving players down from behind near the boards long after the puck is gone. Reverse the situations and have Hamonic shove down Neal and the board would have been up in arms with a no call.

Put me in the same situation as a ref, I absolutely give Neal a deuce there. No warning for that. I give out warnings after scrums, start/end of periods, etc. If I let Neal go there, I may never be able to give him a warning. The warning is the minor penalty.

I know it's not beneficial to us, but it was more Neal being stupid than it being a bad call...
