And I'll tell you why. Guy makes a great-looking vampire: Count Vladimir Bortusso

Image

Also could pass for a great magician ala The Great Bortusso!!!

Seriously, this guy looks good in a cape. Also has some sandpaper to his game. I like it, I want more. And more capes on Bortusso.

Bortuzzo has really impressed me. I wasn't a huge fan of his before last week, but since he's been called up he seems to be all over the ice.

Bortuzzo. Engelland seems to have a hard time this season getting the puck out of the zone.
On the other hand I rather have Niskanen play with Letang than Despres but I would not want a 3rd pairing for Despres and Burtozzo either.

Are you guys saying eggos? I think I would prefer that they're reserved for the top 6 forward spots in case one of those guys go down.

Physically Engellend is better than Bortuzzo, though that shouldn't be the case given Robert's size. Luckily you can't teach size, so hopefully someone will get rid of the slight Baby Huey that remains in Bortuzzo. Positionally Bortuzzo is significantly better than Engelland. Advantage Borutzzo.

This. They need a rugged veteran D for the playoffs, to solidify that bottom pair. With all the special teams minutes Letang gets, they need that 5-6 pairing to be as good as the 3-4 pairing. A solid veteran paired with Nisky would be perfect in that regard.

S/he has set an expectation for sure.

Capes are underrated, and I'm glad they've been introduced to the conversation of what this team needs.

I have been and remain a huge Engo fan. Definitely the most underrated player on the team. His very presence keeps the shenanigans away.

But his horrid positioning keeps the opposing forwards skating right into the crease. :?

Depends on the team. If our opponent has no speed or a meat head who will only be kept in line with the threat of an Engellend beat down as silly as that might be then you go with Engo. Otherwise Bortuzzo needs more ice time to devlop.

But Engellend played 19+ last night, that's a lot of minutes and he did fine. Frankly I'm fine with both along with Reese who played great last night too.

I also think either would do well with Niskanen who is just a good all around guy whcih might give Bortuzzo a little more freedom to pinch since Nisky can cover better than Engellend.

OK, so about "Kerry Day Mascot": Is that "Kerry Day, Mascot," or "Kerry, Day Mascot"? If the latter, I think the night mascot got jobbed.

Personally, I'd love it if, when the Pens win again, we could get "Darren McCord" or "Sgt. Tom Hardy" on there.

Well I did misspell his name, so there is a little room for improvement.

On topic: Couldn't you picture Bortuzzo The Great patrolling the blue line with his cape flowing out behind him? I don't think Engo could pull that off.

Engelland. I like Bortuzzo alot and hope he continues to develop. Bylsma wont sit Engo, i think thats apparent, and rightly so. Hell ,by the time Nisky and Letang are ready to come back, someone else will be on the shelf. Isn't that how it always works.
