What does it mean? No word of anyone being sent down in his place. Niskanen has been skating for a few days as well. Thoughts?

But, they have Letang's replacement already in Reese?

I heard from a source that they are showcasing him for a Tangradi, Morrow, and a #1 for Iginla.
just kidding. I dont have a source. But I thought I would just get that in first.

Well, looking over the roster, he makes the "seventh" defenseman for tonight's game. With Letang and Nisky both out, they had 6 healthy defenseman. Scratching Engelland perhaps?

........however.
I read a few places (havent seen in person) that he struggled pretty bad in his own to start the season but has played much better defense recently. I can only assume its because of another injury. Its hard to judge because a morning skate on a day like today is very limited anyways.

Oops, I didnt forgot it was already down to 6. Well, bringing up Morrow still means someone needs to officially go on IR, correct?

Morrow will help in transition more than Reese. Back-to-back games, maybe they want to try a new combo. Constant audition here of what we have in the hyper season. Two players appear to have won jobs and others have been sacrificed as a result.

Nisky is already on IR and.......apparently Letang is now, too.

Not sure if this is why, but Engelland was getting some attention on his hand after the fight with Barch - beyond just the normal ice bag. It's possible that he played through it but it swelled and got worse after the game and the flight.

What about Engell? Martin seemed fine so I would guess that is just saving his legs since he played so much. There was just an article talking about how much improvement Morrow has shown defensively - with something like +7 in his last 7 games or something.

Engos first 3-4 punches looked like they direct hit Barchs helmet. Not long after, you could tell Engo was holding on for dear life.

So… like 4 days after Lovejoy gets traded the Pens are on to defensemen number 8 and 9. Weird how that works out.
