Paul Martin seems like a solid individual and I respect him even more for not taking the easy way out of the doom and gloom the city felt about his play.

The most I got out of that article is that Paul Martin was trying to press too hard for points to justify his contract.


That is the most harsh criticism I gave about Martin last season, he had COUNTLESS random pinches down low in the offensive zone when it wasn't necessary and then we'd get burnt or scored upon.

He's much more confident this season, letting the play come to him and making solid passes and plays and just being himself. Great for him, even better for the Penguins.

Well considering how many of our defenders have had that problem, I was always giving him a pass for that, thats something I put on the coach's system.
