They didn't forget the physical play yesterday when they were penalized 15 times. :/

Guys like Kunitz, Dupuis, Neal, Cooke, Kennedy, Glass, Adams, and even Vitale seem to have forgotten the physical sides of their games. The Pens are super easy to play against and against a team as systematically sound as the Devils it doesn't translate to success.

Vitale isn't even playing tonight.

I know that, guess why he lost his spot that he earned for 4-5 games? Cause he wasn't playing his brand of hockey.

Tyler Kennedy is more invisible than Lennay Kekua.

Hmmm.
It sounds like they need to waive half the team.

This icing because of a missed reception of a pass is a REAL BRILLIANT IDEA NHL.... NOT. Just slows the game down for absolutely no reason.

This tunnel vision of getting a winger for Malkin, I don't agree with...we need to get Dupuis off Sid's line first and foremost and get him a true top line winger.

Agreed, it would upgrade line 3 as well. Cooke, Sutter, Dupuis is a nice shut down line.

Yeah. I definitely have to disagree with you on this one. A lot.

Currently, he leads the Devils coming into this game with 13 points in 11 games. That would be 4th on the Pens behind Sid, Geno, and Kunitz. Last year, he had 46 points in 80 games.

Not to mention the intangibles. He hits. A lot and makes it count. He goes to the net and is smart with the puck.

Not much more you can ask from an undrafted forward...

What's wrong with Dupuis?

He's not a top line player, do you see what Neal can do with pucks? Sid needs a guy that can get shots off quick, that can get pucks to the net, a guy that doesn't bobble passes like Dupuis has done more than once tonight.

I like Dupuis, I just don't like him in a top 6 role.

I'll repeat what I said earlier:

Boychuk has been the best player on his line.

Geno overskates a tap-in. That would have helped.

They are destroying us in our own zone when Malkin's line is out there.

Someone made a great post earlier about how the play of Armstrong and Talbot faded yet everyone remembers the great times. Kennedy and Adams come to mind as two regulars who are probably getting a pass on their play because of Cup championship memories.

Perfect example of what we can't do...

Easy transition out of the zone, then beat us to the puck, win the battle, and establish a cycle.
