Did Kennedy just save his roster spot and take out Tanner Glass?

Well, Tanner Glass leads the teams in hits, and that's about all he's done all year.

if Bennett drops down to the 3rd line with Cooke and Sutter, which would be a great 3rd line, they would suck up all the 4th line minutes. At that point you keep specialists around. That's Glass and Adams for the PK and Kennedy for 2nd unit PP and moving up the lineup if you have an injury. Basically Satan 2.0 for the playoffs.

This also lets you double shift Malkin and Crosby between Kennedy and Glass. That's also a good thing. Vitale gets screwed but he plays no special teams. Should he? Ask Byslma that question.

But topic at hand, Kennedy's ES ice time gets reduced but he hasn't been very good at that this year.

That's really the only reason we picked him up.

I tried to check multiple sights to disprove this, due to my hatred of Glass but failed.
I still think Joe V. looks a lot quicker than he has in the past. I just don't see anyway of giving him any more minutes.

Still seems like the same player as he's been the past 5 years. 10-15 goals, speed on the forecheck, fairly clueless defensively.

My opinion has changed about TK over the last few weeks...I love having a guy that can get hot and score for us. I will mind my commentary about him on that basis from now on.

in his last 10 games against the Flyers (including the playoffs), kennedy has 6 goals and 3 assists. just a BIT above his average...

TK played 25 bad games, 3-4 okay games, and 2 good games this season.

Shero's basically got him inked to a 3-year ext.

Our League organizer for Deck hockey put it bluntly, and in no way is it PC

Kennedy is like a down syndrome Crosby.
He tries to do everything that crosby does, but just fails massively.

ESPN's opinion on Kennedys shot selection
"Kennedy, who missed Friday's game due to illness, has never met a shot he didn't like to take. "

I think by "in no way is it PC," you mean "in no way I should post this."

Remember that scene in Spaceballs when they accidentally capture the stuntmen? That's what Kennedy is... He's Crosby's stunt double

I think Kennedy was one of the family members in the control room in a particular scene.

I remember a time when threads being bumped for an I told you so was an instant warning at minimum. Can't remember if the actual board rules were actually amended or not.

EDIT:

- Bumping old threads (greater than 1 month since last post) is strongly discouraged. Exceptions may be made by the moderators for certain threads of value or significance. (I.E. "Hossa to DET", "Racchi's Rug")

IMFC wrote:Total kennedy shipper. Because he actually tries. Good speed and actually shoots the stupid puck. Honestly its not his fault that the next time a teamate even tries to go to the net and cash in a rebound will be the first time.

If he hit the net more and had a better iq he'd be a decent 2nd liner, but he doesn't, so what. In a sports world that is increasingly one of PEDs and genetic freaks, I love the genuine effort of the kennedy's and adams' of the world.

Y'all fantasy-generation clowns can dis 'im all ya want, yo. Yinz is whack.

Kennedy is a simple player. The year he got a bunch of top 6 and power play minutes he produced large enough that he got paid. Then he got relegated back to his third line role with third line talent and his production went back down. It's not a mystery
