Cooke tried to put Neil's stick over the boards. It didn't make it. I think that is where his misconduct is stemming from.

Why? Even Steckle was an accident.
Come on... Seriously. You know we'd be out for blood in the same situation, warranted or not. People don't stay cool when a teams star is seriously injured, accidental or not. Especially when the perpretrator has the reputation of a Matt Cooke.

Would that mean Bylsma gets fined too?

Cooke doesn't really deserve the benefit of doubt obviously. I have no problem with Neil going at him a little bit. Not big deal. No suspensions, move on...

I think Cooke got the misconduct to protect him and because he tried to throw Neil's stick into the crowd.

Neil's a punk, but if someone did what Cooke did To Karlsson accident or not, I would hope we would respond. Karlsson is pretty much their best player.

It doesn't take much for this team to go into full brat mode. You're probably right.

Wrong. He hit Neil's glove with his cheek like 3 or 4 times!

We think it's an accident because we saw the play and 30 replays. Senators players saw one of their best players go down and Matt Cooke near the crime scene. They aren't going to consider much more than that.

I would hope they wouldn't unless it was something intentional. Accidents happen- cheap shots to another player are not needed

Why it took so long for HCDB to figure out that it is Cookie who is the best available winger for the 1b line?
Boychuk looked like a grinder with hands on that third line. Maybe we see the pieces coming down to where they should be?

Neil would be one of the last NHL players I'd want to fight.
Punching that head would be like punching a bucket of cement.

TSN says he Karlsson needs surgery. And the comments section is alive with Cooke-bashing. intent to injure, distinct downward kick. All the good stuff

Meh. Cooked earned his reputation, so he isn't going to get the benefit of the doubt, and that's his fault and his only.
I don't think it was malicious, but I could see how some could see it that way.
