With two defensemen coming back from injuries I think it makes a lot of sense not to dress two rookies.

If either played scared or stupid like rookies then maybe but Bortuzzo and Despres don't look like rookies.

Scared or stupid has nothing to do with it. They will make mistakes, which is fine but inevitable. They look very much like rookies at times.
