Yup

NHL.com has it changed again to a 2 point night. It keeps going back and forth. Pens get the W which takes priority. The funny thing is they are nit picking Sid's stats but not touching Vanek's. Not sure if he really deflected that puck or not and if he even really did assist on the Buff first goal. If he did good for him though.

I will take a W over anything though.

I don't remember how serious that banter was, either (though banter, as defined, isn't serious...).

Why not just enjoy the Pens' victory in the GDT? There are plenty of other threads for the what-if's and everything else.

Nice win today against a Buffalo team that came to play hard and the Pens managed to squeak-out a nice victory on the road.

It's a goal...back then. It freakin' kills me and I've seen it 1,000 times. I'm so easily amused.

If I may save face a little and justify why I said Kunitz is our MVP so far this year, all of our star players except Kunitz are right around their expected numbers. Sid is on about 130 point pace, right where you'd expect. Geno only 90 points, a bit below what you'd expect. Neal on 70 point, 55G pace, slightly above in G where you'd expect and slightly below in Pts where'd you expect. But Kunitz is on 100 point pace. No one expected that. He's been the big time difference maker. He's outscoring everyone in the league except Sid, Kane, Vanek, and St. Louis. Think about that...

Great win today. Fleury shut the door when he had to. Second line still needs a wing...Bennett too soft

Vanek definitely got Buffalo's second goal. He lifted his leg and basically kicked the puck with his shin out of mid air. It was a very nice play.

I have no idea if he should have gotten the second assist on their first goal.

I think Sid had 3 points today no matter what they decide on that last goal. He either got an assist or a goal.

Malkin needs to be better. 3 goals and only one at even strength. I know his left wing hasn't been the best, but at the same time his right wing is better than Crosby's and his line is seeing the second defensive pair every game. How much of a difference in skill is there really between say Dupuis and Cooke? Dupuis is better offensively, but so much so that that line can't produce more than it has with all the above items as an advantage? If the Pens power play wasn't as good as it has been this year Neal and Malkin's point totals would look real bad right now.

Um. So unless I counted wrong using his last 3 games of the 09-10 season, all 41 of his 10-11 season, 22 of his 11-12 season, and 16 this year, Sid has scored 144 points in his last 82 games played. I'm speechless right now.

I'm past the point of caring about whether or not Malkin elevates his game with certain players. Whether he can produce with anybody like Crosby can or not, what I know is when he played with Kunitz and Neal, he was an MVP, scoring champion, and it was the best line in hockey. It's time to put him back there. If we have one superstar who can elevate his game with whoever he plays with, and one who can't, IDK why we aren't adjusting the lines accordingly.
