If the Craps are still out of it then I wouldn't mind seeing Shero get Chimera. Chimera got wheels and could replace Kennedy on the 3rd line and also makes less then Kennedy. Chimera is also signed through next season while Kennedy is not.

Serious or not, I'll comment for conversation's sake...

- Jets would take that probably, but not because it's good value (they basically have a drone like TK already, Veilleux doesn't help anyone) but just because Hainsey is God awful...I'm not sure why we'd move a depth forward going into the deadline, but Veilleux and a 3rd would probably easily nab him I'd think...not that I would do it...

- Leafs will probably try to squeeze water from a stone with MacArthur. There's really no spot to put a Jeffrey in their lineup I don't think.

- That's probably about decent value for Wheeler really...he's not that good nor is that highly thought of...big, soft, playmaking winger that always leaves you wanting more...if we're gonna get a big powderpuff, might as well get Antropov for a 3rd, at least he plays better defense...

I don't think Hainsey is that bad of a player but his $4.5-million cap hit wrinkles my brain. He's a solid defensive guy that a lot of teams wouldn't mind having in the #4-6 spot, but not at that price.

Ya know, I took a look a second look at Wheeler tonight...the Jets really need him and a RWer in general...forget that DJ/Dumo/2nd crap-stravaganza...that wouldn't do it. I'm not sure that Morrow and a 1st is the answer either, but it would take more than that package to pry him away I'd think because you need to convince a team to trade one of it's better forwards...I doubt they're shopping him. I was wrong in my initial evaluation, my dislike of Wheeler clouded my judgment...
