When you get your voucher for a penguins gear do you have to use it at console energy arena or can you use at a store? Sorry if that's a stupid question

I know next year a lot of codes are going to be gps (ice time, etc). Its nice getting shirts and hats but to win anything special you might as well forget about it. For awhile, I considered not even doing it.

So? Don't you think the season ticket holders should be the ones who win these? They are shelling out thousands of dollars for it...

Season ticket holders for anything are the most loyal of fans since they're the ones committed to coming to the games year after year. Of course the program is going to favor these fans. Of course, if you're going to the games, you're not likely hanging out at the bar with Miller Lite Girls to collect the same 25 points for the game.

As for living outside of Pittsburgh, there are still ways to get points. Of course, I would never expect a big prize for a fan loyalty program that awards you for attending games and local events. You're lucky you're able to use IceTime, Trib, Radio, ROOT Sports and other codes that aren't gps-dependent.

STH arent more loyal than me, most leave at 2nd intermission anyways

They may/may not be, but they did make a commitment to have tickets to every home game, so PensPoints naturally would make a commitment to keep them paying for those seats.

Agreed, and let's be honest here ... PensPoints is becoming more of a marketing tool than an actual fan loyalty program. No idea how test driving a Toyota or demoing a Verizon phone makes me a more loyal Pens fan.

It helps the Pens maintain those companies as sponsors. Even if the acquisition rate is 0.5% higher because of PensPoints, they still make some more money.

From what I see, the marketing is almost a joke. I went into Verizon and the guy handed me a points card. I had to practically plead with him to show me the game center app.

I'm guessing it would be a bad idea to use the big screen code while @ latitude 40 for the miller lite night?

They're both GPS-enabled, so you could theoretically start at the big screen and end up at Latitude 40. Just wait a period between posts.

I went to the Kenny Ross in Moon and tried to be honest saying I was not ready to buy a car but wanted to test drive something for the 200 points. They would not let me test drive nor would they give me the 200 point code. Only got to scan the 25 code that is on top of a car in the showroom. So I will go back and lie and tell them I am ready to buy.

The PensPoints twitter has said Consol only. If you are nearby the southside one you can always stop in and try an maybe the tshirts will work or something, but I would assume Consol only
