I dont think you need to be rooted, do you? There are apps that you can install just normally

Made a burner twitter to test spoofer and code - worked fine. Not sure if they'll wipe the points later though...

I was at ML nite, updated my app, went out side with Google maps on to get exact GPS location, kept saying I have to be at location or turn GPS on. There was a tech guy there to help with issues with updated android app. He said I should be close enough and took my name down to give me credit.

When I scanned the 5 point code the Miller Lite girls had, it said I had reached the maximum number of scans for that one.

Gps can be faked. Has to be exact location. Curious to see how pens game ice time will work. Maybe just miller lt barcode is geocoded

I think it may be the same qr code. They have a couple pod them to scan so i don't know for sure

if you ever go to a miller light night and want to take a picture of the code - just take a screenshot with your phone while you are scanning

I would really like to see them release more special codes to enter. Pittsburgh, Penguins, Facebook, Twitter etc. Be nice if they had more of these every week. Good way to reward those that follow the Penguins through social media.

I cant see them geo coding the ice time codes due to the number of fans that scan those. ML night brings a fraction of the total scans and they wont be able to have a tech support person available to all fans at consol.

Plus at times I have major issues using data there to begin with. Verizon is my carrier. I love how their name is all over the building but you can't get service worth a crap.

So yeah...last night

The MLN codes are geocoded, but the 5 pointer one is not. There is a limit on how many times you can scan that 5 pointer though...there are apparently only a few in the area anyway.

My friend was at MLN with me and he updated the app (you are forced to for all those still trying to hold out on that) and scanned and it still wasn't working. The guy who runs the deal was there and took his info (couple other people's too) and said he would update their accounts with the points. I heard them talking about how its easy for IOS because there is only 1 phone really...for Android, you can get the majority of them to work but there are soooooo many different devices it complicates things.

So I can spend money to get the points. But anyone can redeem the vouchers, even total strangers. OK...

And...the vouchers can't be used at the Consol.

In case you didn't see on twitter the other day, you will soon be able to get points by watching on Root. I'm assuming it will be just like the radio with a keyword you have to enter.

Also got my 20 oz vouchers. Works on 7up, A&W, Canada Dry, RC, Squirt, Sundrop, and Sunkist brands.
