Alfy is not going anywhere. The main reason why he stayed this season is because his son wanted to see him play. Kinda hard to do that when he is 500+ miles away. Alfy is a Senator for life.

If OTT is out of it, and BOS gives them the best offer, I could see it happening. Plus, he is a UFA after this season. He could spend the playoffs in Boston and then re-sign with OTT if he wants to come back.

I don't think it would. He'd help them out by getting some assets for him then be back when Spezza and Karlsson were healthy for a full season...if he had anything left.

it's tough to engage in any of these hypotheticals when your team has no roster players with any trade value that they'd be willing to part with.

Here's something to consider: the Flyers are going to trade for Jagr, especially if Dallas is out of the hunt. They want him back to skate with Hartnell and Giroux. If the Pens acquired him, it would give Malkin and Neal a veteran linemate and deny Philly from getting him back.

Yes, there would be a media frenzy for a few days, and some fans on here are bitter towards Jagr, blah blah, I get that. But this is a business and making that move could potentially be good on two fronts.
