Finally we developed some puck possession. Albeit against the 30th ranked team, but baby steps.
Hopefully Malkin is okay...can't complain about the hit, he simply got outmuscled.
Fleury seems to be rounding into form.

Please no long-distance amateur armchair diagnosis, thanks.

I don't think predicting a concussion is really that wild of an armchair diagnosis. He most certainly smashed his head off the end boards. We'd be lucky for him not to have gotten one.

No such thing as a degree to a concussion.

A week to ten days. Max. The C word is so overrated in the Pens organization.
God I hope they've figured it out.

Everybody is different with a concussion. When i had a mild concussion playing football, i was back the following week. Some people take 2 weeks. Just depends on the person and type of concussion.

Lol, i'm sorry but all my participation in the convo has been satire. Last time we had a superstar with a "mild concussion" he was originally out 1 to 2 weeks.

Ask any doctor trained in it. There is no such thing as a small, mild, light, little concussion. It's just a concussion.

It's a joke. Crosby originally was diagnosed with a mild concussion.

Colorado Medical Society guidelines
The Colorado Medical Society guidelines were published in 1991 in response to the death of a high school athlete due to what was thought to be second-impact syndrome.[9] According to the guidelines, a grade I concussion consists of confusion only, grade II includes confusion and post-traumatic amnesia, and grade III and IV involve a loss of consciousness.[2]
By these guidelines, an athlete who has suffered a concussion may return to sports after having been free of symptoms, both at rest and during exercise, as shown in the following table:[10][11]
Colorado Medical Society guidelines for return to play
Grade First concussion Subsequent concussions
I 15 minutes 1 week
II 1 week 2 weeks, with
physician approval
IIIa (unconscious
for seconds) 1 month 6 month, with
physician approval
IIIb (unconscious
for minutes) 6 month 1 year, with
physician approval
