This. I hope they give him a little more ice time in the next couple games.sniper wrote:pittsoccer33 wrote:it was nice to see jeffrey score. I've thought for a while that hes a better player than the penguins let him be.
I like Jeffrey a lot. He puts up points whenever he gets ice time. Before the season I thought he'd end up eventually being the guy on Malkins line. Unfortunately for him he only got to play one game and the next day or Boychuk got picked up and took his spot. I thought he played pretty well that game too. He isn't the most physical guy in the world or the best skater, but he puts the puck in the net and at the end of the day that's what matters.
He scored 7 goals and 12 points in 25 games the year Crosby and Malkin were out. Last year he was obviously still injured and still scored 4 goals in 26 games with very limited ice time. His career shooting percentage is 13.5%. He has an above average shot. Last year was the only year he's been a negative player. Offensively, he's at least as good as Kennedy, Cooke, and Sutter. I don't understand why he doesn't get more playing time. It's not as annoying now that Bennett is the guy playing over him, because he's not playing badly and I know he'll improve. You can see him getting better. It was annoying when Tangradi was though because he didn't do anything.

Plus Goeffrey might actually be needed later on.
