Malkin would have to come off IR to play tonight. Does someone have to be sent to WBS or waived if this happens?

I don't know, I thought TK was bad against MTL.
Agree that he is a throw-in on any trade.
it's not the best gauge, but kennedy is often spoken highly of by other broadcasting crews during games. there's at least a little value there. but yeah, he's only an accessory in a meaningful trade (well, that is until we trade his RFA rights for a 6th round pick in a few months - but i guess that's not "meaningful").
but i don't know who would be else would be part of that trade package. it's not time to deal any of our prospects and all of our roster players either have no trade value or are contributors who should be kept. that's what makes all the trade talk a little frustrating these days. we are waaaaay under equipped to be players in that area this year.

It could be good for Admin's business, if they sent Bennett to WBS and keep Boychuk.

I'd deal Kennedy and one of our prospects if it got me the type of physical, defense first Dman we need + an aggressive physical presence on the third line. I think that would drastically alter how I felt about this team.

i don't think we have the cap room over the next couple years to facilitate that trade.

Because we figure the only reason he isn't being help accountable for his awful play is that he's being showcased to some extent / having his value protected in case we move him in a package later.

Well, assuming mythical Dman is around 4mm, and the 3rd liner would cost the same as Kennedy, then we'd be ok this season. Next would be an issue obviously.

Given how Kennedy is playing, what would anyone give up for him in return? If you're saying "Kennedy and a prospect", you're basically saying "a prospect". You'd actually have to give up more to convince someone to take Kennedy.

I assume mythical d man would be a rental, regardless of who/what they trade for him.

Yes, but I kind of wish he isn't. Because if he is, we have the same problem again next year.
