Agreed, he's done okay killing penalties, and he's hit and fought. However, it would be nice if he could get on the scoresheet. My comments were in particular to the "number of chances" he had in the that game, and was unable to come up with anything, nada. His linemates have been able to cobble together a couple of points, and Glass has seen some minutes on higher lines....
So, to be clear, he's not expected to score, but it sure would be nice to be part of the offense, especially in a game like that one.

I always look at 4th liners scoring as icing on the cake. That's not their job but when it happens great. They're only good for 10-15 points a season as is so again I'm not disappointed at all with the play of Glass. He's hitting a little less than he was last year (a little over 3 hits a game last year and a little over 2.5 hits a game this year) but he's still hitting quite a bit and that's why he's here.

For me, the 4th line would be better with three Joe Vitales than a Tanner Glass - especially if the Pens want to "wear the opponent down". If the 4th line isn't controlling the puck down low, to me he is ineffective. As for his PK efforts, I don't see how any player (I'm looking at you Craig Adams) can be on the team for that alone, considering our PK is mediocre at best.

i know you hate the guy, but regarding the PK, it's hard to argue that michalek wouldn't be worth a roster spot on this team. despite whatever warts he has, we'd be better with him in the 6 spot than engelland. and it's not even close.

The issue for me with Michalek is that he would no doubt be even worse as a bottom pair guy. His softness would be even more pronounced in that role, especially on the road - and his paycheck?
At that point, are we going to dress 7 D so he can be a PK specialist? I think the PK is more about a lack of cohesion than it is about goals from any particular part of the rink.
