Anyone ever used SRO tickets before? What is it like? IIRC I saw some bar stools or something last time I was there (over a year ago). I also think I remember that the view of the ice wasn't bad either.

No longer have the bar stools, you have to stand now.
If you don't mind standing for an entire game, the view is pretty good.

Well we would have just driven all the way up from DC that morning. Maybe standing for 3+ hours isn't that bad...

I remember walking to concourse during my first game there (a wonderful 4-0 loss to MIN) and thinking there is not a bad view in the house. Our options are SRO for the rags game on 3/16 for $250 total or seats in 227 for the NYI game on 3/30 for $175 total.

Let me know which week you head up. I'll probably be up there the same weekends that you were mentioning going...which was in a different thread. /creepmode

The announced attendances at the sold-out games this year are about 100 more than last year. I don't think they've added any new seats, so it must be more SRO's. The SRO's are reserved standing spots. I've walked around and don't think I've seen any new SRO spots from last season. Does anybody know where the additional SRO spots are?

I want to student rush one game, but I highly doubt I would be able to beat every other student and get tickets.

Actually PFIDC would be on my way, so i'd be the driver.

Also I leave straight from work and would work an extra hour Monday-Thursday so i'd be taking a half day and on the road at 11:30 for Pgh.

I think the ones that are at the top of my section(218) are new, but I guess they could have been there last year. I thought they used to only be behind the endzones, but i'm probably off on that. I have only been to like 20 or 30 games at consol.

They should stop doing student rush and give those tickets to people on the waiting list.

They should cancel all season tickets in the lower bowl in the section directly behind the "pens shoot twice" net and then make that the student rush section.

They added seats. Removed a couple of the handicap platforms.

I actually have tickets for Pens vs Flyers in 205 in the handicapped section. Im hoping its as good as advertised. Although I do feel bad taking these seats from someone who might need them. Maybe ill limp or something.
