I was using it as an example. I just don't understand what their point total today has anything to do with how bad they are playing. Much like last season everyone wrote off how bad they were playing and blowing games because "seeding doesn't matter."

I totally respect anyone's choice to put their head in the sand, cross their fingers, and hope they flip the switch to find their game by the playoffs. But it's totally not unreasonable to be very troubled by the way they're playing. We've seen where this leads on multiple occasions in recent years. Many people ignored the warning signs in 2010. Many people ignored them last year. They're still here.

The amazing 26 points they have don't separate them much from being the seventh seed. It doesn't even separate them much from being out of the playoffs, quite frankly. It's not a very rosy picture for multiple reasons.

A reminder to all..it's not about our record or seeding. What you need to be focused on is HOW we are playing. We need to be playing a winning playoff style. Playing the wrong way and beating the Islanders is great but we are projecting what this team will look like in the postseason, that's the only thing that matters.

Not sure that necessarily matters in February. No team can win if they take 8 penalties a game. They also don't win often when they don't have anyone that can clear players from around the net. We've been easy prey the last 4-5 games.

Philly also had our number last regular season and most "knew" it was a bad matchup for us. The regular season was a good indicator of how that series played out.
