I'm concerned about the move made when Martin comes back. I don't want to lose anyone to keep Eaton on the roster; I wouldn't risk losing Iceberg on waivers for Mr Charmin

Martin is not on IR
No moves will need to be made.

Rather see Bennett get top line minutes in WBS than get grinder minutes here.
Loved what I saw from him, he's going to be a good player for us. He has a complete game.

There's a clear difference between being one and having the potential to be one.
That's right, and the difference comes with playing time. I still think there are guys here he should be playing over, but as long as he's getting minutes, he'll be OK.

Yes, that's why it's perfectly allright to play him on the 3rd line.

Better to do this than scratch him or continue to play him on the third line. I wish he got a legitimate chance to play with Malkin or Crosby though.

I don't know what they said between periods, but during gamecall, Steigy implied the possibility that this was a paper only transaction. I'm not a roster rules guy, but perhaps to clear for Malkin, boychuk waived but he still is considered roster, so bennett down, but back up as soon as waiver time clears or claimed.

Then it seems obvious that it is what happened, why are people all talking as if Bennett were gone?

Well, I guess that answered the earlier season hot question... Tangradi or Boychuk. Neither.

They should just leave him on the 2nd line.

I still think Geno and Neal need someone like Kunitz or older, but smart

Cooke on the line.. someone who will do the dirty job and grind, with some scoring touch.

Dave Molinari @MolinariPG
Bylsma, on playing Beau Bennett with Malkin and Neal: "That’s the line he is going to play with. And yes, all three periods.”

So who sits? I really hope Jeffrey is not the odd man out again... he's TK's replacement on the 3rd line next season. Might as well start that train moving now...

Yes, I am inclined to agree with this, I think Bennett should ultimately play with Crosby and Kunitz, and Cooke should play with Malkin and Neal and Dupuis should be on the third line. Dupuis is awesome and he fits in anywhere, which is why he is easy to move. Both top lines need some grit, someone to go in front of the net and dig for pucks and that should be Cooke and Kunitz. Malkin and Neal are already enough of a dangerous combination where you need to take space away from both of them while in a playoff situation we've seen before that as good as Kunitz and Dupuis are, an opposing team just needs to shut down Crosby to disarm both wingers. Crosby needs a winger with better hands than Dupuis, no matter how good Dupers wrist shot is.

I strongly disagree. Dupuis brings plenty of grit and and excellent offense, as well. He should not be demoted in favor of Cooke, who brings only slightly more grit (albeit in a different way) and significantly less offense. Cooke is a third liner who gets occassional stints on a scoring line. Dupuis has emerged into a scoring line winger, even if he is the 6th best forward of the group. I just don't understand why so many people are eager to bump him down the lineup to accommodate inferior players. If the Penguins acquire a true top-six winger in addition to Bennett, yes, bump Dupuis down. But for now, he should be nowhere but on Sid's wing. Period.
