But they do offer presale tickets and mini packages to people on the wait list. They don't completely ignore these people.

That's fine, but you don't need them either. You have a pretty large group of people who want to see the product now. Those kids are already sucked into the sport, so I don't think you need to pamper them. People in line for Season Tickets who want to buy the tickets now should get in first. The college kids will come, as long as the product is good.

But the college kids can't afford the games. They also want to see the product now, so I don't buy that argument.
