If letang shot the puck like that, we might be on to something. He usually thinks about it and asks others on their opinion before shooting.

You do realize that "reassigning" bennett or despres (or putting Martin on IR) was only move they could make to get Malkin playing tonight?
Martin on ir would have worked too.

Does Letang have a head injury? I'm not even joking. I had a head injury once and my decision making and overrall ability to get the puck off of my stick was impaired. I felt like I was playing in behind everybody and my thinking was dulled. It is exactly how Letang looks now. Terrible.

We'd have the same issue when he came back so it doesn't matter beyond you wanting to complain.

Didn't Letang get married, cause I'm pretty sure that would've done it.

Perhaps the Pens should try shooting rather than consistently hoping to hit zero-margin-of-error passes.

You think Letang might have learned something about entering the zone from Gonchar during the 5 years he was here.

Think the concussion wiped that memory out.

I don't remember him being this bad last year. That turnover to Stamkos and the the drive by after giving tampa a 3-1, then when the pens had the extra skater he threw the puck to nobody and out of the zone, earlier in the period his turnover deep in the pens zone gave tampa an opportunity to possess the puck in the pens zone, crosby wins the faceoff and he can't keep it in the zone. This is probably with 5-6 shifs in the first period. I love Kris Letang but he has just been dreadful for most of this season and has been really bad during the last 7-8 games.

It was a great PP, lots of opportunities where they definitely intended to shoot the puck but it kept bouncing over sticks. That's life.
