Yeah, I think this is one of those signings that will result in a call-up before the trade deadline when rosters are unlimited. It makes a lot of sense to me to have NHL-experienced depth heading into the playoffs when players can drop like flies.

Not sure what's so bad about this signing? He's on waivers, meaning he'll either be claimed by another team or will join the WBS Penguins. At worst, he's a post-trade deadline callup when rosters are unlimited. It never hurts to have NHL experienced depth to rely on in case of injuries in the playoffs.
