Not sure what's so bad about this signing? He's on waivers, meaning he'll either be claimed by another team or will join the WBS Penguins. At worst, he's a post-trade deadline callup when rosters are unlimited. It never hurts to have NHL experienced depth to rely on in case of injuries in the playoffs.
This.

He's a classic 4th line guy. Will hit people, cycle the puck, play well along the wall. and sticks up for his teammates when they need it. What's not to like?

Does he have to clear before Bennett can be put back on the roster?

I thought under the new CBA he has to be claimed or cleared before such move was made?

Boychuk was claimed so Bennet has already been called up. Cerv, you still aren't allowed to have a sense of humor. Especially not in PR.

OK, thanks for the quick responses. I stand corrected then.

Good depth and Kostopolous is still a decent 4th liner.

It wasn't obviously sarcastic, and these kind of things can be a bit difficult to decipher on a message board.

This answers my standing question of whether WBS had anyone who could fill in on the 4th line.

I still don't think it was, but if it was sarcasm, then it was handled properly. Its way funnier when people don't get it.
