I love that Donald Duck gif. That's like me after a Pens loss.

It wasn't obviously sarcastic, and these kind of things can be a bit difficult to decipher on a message board.

I still don't think it was, but if it was sarcasm, then it was handled properly. Its way funnier when people don't get it.

The goal of the O.P. was to draw people out for more conversation. I was also nearing 5,000 posts at the time so I needed a few responses=mission accomplished.

My honest opinion: I do not like the move, nor do I hate it. Kind of in the middle. Hence why I wanted more feedback weather it was a good move to some or bad. I do value some peoples in put on here.

Kostopoulos played 81 games for Galgary last season as a 4th liner. He's not a bad depth player to have around. I don't know why all the sarcasm on here. Dress him for a few games and sit TK or Glass, hopefully light a fire under them.

And there is no longer any re-entry waivers under the new CBA. Not sure if that is just this season or throughout the duration.

Spoiler:
Pretty sure I got this one right this time. :pop:

I thought there was only re-entry waivers for people who were on one-way contracts?

This is obviously the Greek Magic juju that's been missing since Zigomanis left. That and Yanni. We shall never forget.

Yeah I watched that gif and even said out loud at my computer, "wow, that duck is pissed..."

Re: Re-entry waivers. They don't exist any more (nobody liked them, as it turned out)...they applied to players on one-way contracts OR on two-way contracts where the minor league was in excess of $105,000, IIRC. Irrelevant today of course.

I mean, if someone wanted (old) TK, they would have just signed him...

In 3 weeks he'll be playing on a line with Malkin and Neal. We all know this.

Shero's getting him through wavers now (before he plays at all) so he doesn't need to try later.

As I mentioned when he got signed to a minor league TO, he's good depth, he hits, and kills penalties. He could replace Glass or Adams without missing a beat. He's supposedly been playing on one of WBS's most effective lines of late.

This is an extremely rare occurrence...why didn't the Devils just sign him earlier...very weird. Oh well...

Some kind of defensive claim to keep him from our AHL/potential later callup? Really odd.

does the old policy of team that lost a player to waivers get first claim priority if the claiming team places said player back on waivers? I recall this was how we lost/reclaimed Robert Lang back in 97 or 98.

If I'm NJ, I'm worried about finding a serviceable goalie, not settling scores over 4th liners. Can totally see Lamorello doing this for spite, but whatever.
