From twitter:

Pens D-pairs at morning skate: Martin-Orpik Niskanen-Letang Eaton-Engelland Despres-Bortuzzo.

Are they going to sit Despres and Bort?

Looks like it.

If HCDB won't play Despres or Bortuzzo against Philly in the regular season, they won't even get a sniff of ice time come playoffs.

This is EXTREMELY frustrating. Despres has been playing well, and this is exactly the type of game he needs to play in, because it's probably the closest thing to a playoff game in the regular season. Not the right game to be giving Eaton a look IMO. If Despres is going to sit, I'd rather at least see the argument to put in Bortuzzo over Eaton, looking for a more physical d-man. I'm starting to wonder if the Pens have something brewing involving Despres, that they have gotten him in enough games to show what is needed, and don't want to risk injuring him. Otherwise, it's seems dumb to load up on young d-men that the coach continually sits and has no trust in them.

I read more into Despres was on the 2nd PP unit more than however lines/partners are listed.

But then I couldn't get all fired up on something that is hours away from being something I can get fired up about.

Edit: Team site says Martin was with 2nd PP unit and nothing on Despres. So start moaning.

I love games vs Flyers on this board.

Despres is possibly injured and left practice early from what I heard on PensLive this morning. I haven't heard any updates since.

No way man, it has to be a diabolical conspiracy by GMRS and HCDB
