The PG is trumpeting the fact that their Editorial Board was able to get this quote from Rendell. Wasn't Rendell saying just a couple of weeks ago that he was not to have any contact with the gaming board???

You would think that instead of highlighting the fact they were able to obtain this quote from Rendell, the PG would be questioning his so-called 'insider information'. If he is able to obtain insider information on the slots distributorships from the Gaming Board, how can the public believe that he won't try to influence the board when they go to make their decision on the slots licenses.

Why would they not allow casino operators to deal directly with manufacturers?? This whole thing stinks to high heaven! Isn't that called business? Why should they be able to control who can sell the machines to who? Whatever happened to private enterprise?

But, but, but.... Distributors are gonna create more jobs says the article. Just didn't mention the jobs will be going to Roddey and group and all their friends and relatives. I like how Roddey's group just so happens to have a woman in his ownership group. And she happens to be black. Tell me he didn't have "inside information" on this whole dealership process. :x

People can do plenty. Look at what happened when the state legislature tried to give themselves a payraise. People found out, got mad, and put on enough pressure to get it repealed.

Not being able to do anything isn't the problem; not enough people caring enough to try is.

yeah slee, like i told you this weekend... i sort of see what you mean, but we can inform as many people as possible... keep writing up flyers, etc. hand them out over and over again. people might eventually read them! the more people that actually learn about this stuff, the more people on "our" side. it's just plain dirty...
